A New Look for The Athletic Club

In honor of a change in ownership and a new facility in the Turks and Caicos, The Athletic Club decided that it was time to update their image with the help of emedia. The first change was an adaptation of the old logo to a fresher, more modern look. New colors and new lines create a subtle transformation that brings the logo into the present without being trendy.

The next focus after the logo was the promotion of the new club, The Athletic Club Turks and Caicos. This included new flyers, banners and radio ads informing locals and hotel guests alike of the facilities available to them at TAC Turks and Caicos. Though the islands sustained a lot of damage due to Hurricane Ike, The Athletic Club came through safe and sound, ready to improve the health and fitness of the country’s residents.

After the Turks and Caicos, The Athletic Club was able to focus on promoting its new ownership. Former managing director, Kym Burns, became sole owner of The Athletic Club as of August 25th, 2008. The new owner and new logo signify a new beginning for The Athletic Club with many positive changes to come while maintaining the high quality experience that TAC has been known for since 1984.

Employee Profile: Erin Smith - Senior Account Manager

Though she may be sporting a new name - Erin Madison became Erin Smith after her wedding on August 23rd - Erin is a familiar face at emedia. Erin became a part of the emedia team in June of 2007. As Senior Account Manager, Erin brings her project management skills to the forefront of our business, and she is responsible for managing all marketing efforts for such clients as Universal Electric, Bermuda Stripping & Refinishing, Argus Financial Limited and the Argus Group.

One of Erin's favorite aspects of her position as Senior Account Manager is how varied her job can be. A single day can take her from the recording studio working on radio ads to meetings with clients to establish a marketing plan.

Erin is highly organized and offers a streamlined approach to project management, which allows her to effectively manage clients both small and large.

Making a Good First Impression- What a New Logo Can Do for You

A logo is one of the most pervasive images your company has. It appears on the sign for your office, on all of your communication and in all of your print advertisements. Your logo is a major part of the first impression potential customers have of your company. Are you modern or traditional? Casual or formal? Young and trendy or tried and true? All of these things come across in your company’s logo, so you want to make sure that your logo is an accurate representation of your company and what it stands for.

While a great logo should have staying power, there are conditions under which you would want to change your logo. If your company has expanded or gone in a new direction, your logo may no longer accurately reflect the type of business that you now have. If your target market has changed in age, gender, socioeconomics or any other significant way, you may want to tailor a new logo in order to attract this market. A woman in her 60s will not be drawn in by the same image as a man in his 30s. Another reason to change your logo is if your old logo is too easily identified with a particular decade or trend. While a good logo should appear up-to-date, it should not be so trendy that five or ten years later it is out of style.

A new logo can freshen your entire company's image and can even bring in new clientele. Take a look at your logo. Is it really saying what you want it to say, or is it time for a change?
