Zumba Case Study
The Athletic Club of Bermuda was the first gym on the island to bring the new aerobics dance craze Zumba to the Bermudian public. Kirsty Oliver, a professionally trained Zumba instructor, has brought this exciting and invigorating craze to the gym. emedia was asked to bring awareness to the public through the media and invite the public to a free introductory class to get Bermudians on board. Our press releases were sent to the Royal Gazette, Bermuda Sun, and VSB and all three jumped at the new Lifestyle topic.
After two wonderful articles and fabulous coverage in the Sun and the Gazette promoting the free class and the subsequent classes to follow- The Athletic Club received an overwhelming response. They had over 50 people attend the introductory class and filled up their 4-week Zumba course within minutes! Because of the astonishing response, and obvious exposure through the media - The Athletic Club has had to schedule a second round of classes to accommodate the public. Both members and non-members of the gym have signed up and are excited to join the new Latin phenomenon that is Zumba!

Royal Palms Website
The Royal Palms guest house approached emedia in September of 2009 because they wanted to redesign their website. The website they currently had was a bit dated and was not conveying the message they wanted to potential guests. emedia proceeded to completely overhaul the site starting with the design. The new design was inspired by Royal Palms's watercolour logo. The entire site now has a wash of watercolour blue that evokes Bermuda's sky and surf. Images and videos were added to the site as well, including virtual tours of each level of room available. This feature allows potential guests to get a good impression of the rooms in order to make more informed decisions on which style of room they would prefer. The content of the site was completely redone, focusing on the three different types of travelers that comprise the core of the Royal Palms's business: business travelers, leisure travelers and those relocating to Bermuda. Different sections of the website are geared toward each of these types of traveler. In general, the site has been streamlined and modernised, and the process through which one can make a reservation has been simplified. Since the new site's launch, the Royal Palms has received great feedback, and they are extremely pleased with the result.
