Bermuda Commercial Bank Builds a Positive Image and a Strong Market Presence

Bermuda Commercial Bank requested the services of emedia in 2008 to act as their Marketing, PR and Website Development team. Despite being a leader in the Banking industry in Bermuda, BCB had done little marketing over the past few years and was looking to gain market awareness for the Bank and its services.

We developed a strategic marketing plan and designed a new brand style, which can be seen in a series of advertisements that focus on the unique services that BCB offers. We have also developed a Public Relations Plan to gain exposure for BCB in the media. Recent PR pieces have been seen in the December/January Bermudian Business Magazine, The Royal Gazette and in the Bermuda Sun.

In December, the new BCB Website was launched. This project was a major upgrade from the previous site, and emedia was responsible for the concepting, design and production of the website as well as the copywriting of all content.

We are pleased to be able to bring our complete package of services to BCB, to give them a cohesive brand and message that will build a positive image and a strong presence in the local market.

 

   
 

Employee Profile: Jennifer Ward - Owner/Managing Director

A dedicated entrepreneur and business woman, Jennifer helped build emedia from the ground up, launching the business on January 4th 2000. Having bought the company outright from her co-founder in 2006, she is now sole owner and managing director of the full-service advertising agency. In addition to managing all the office management, accounting and HR functions of the business, she acts as the final quality control - overseeing all the design studios major print and web projects.

Jennifer has been responsible for the coordination of many clients marketing and PR plans throughout the years and has extensive experience in managing projects from approval to completion. As emedia's lead project manager, Jennifer liaises between the account management and PR teams, the design department, the production team and the client to ensure the seamless design and production of each project to produce the timely delivery of the final product.

Clients appreciate Jennifer's hands-on approach. The emedia team appreciates her steadfast leadership.

On the completion of the October/November issue of the Bermudian Business Magazine we began work on the December/January issue. We were happy to get the chance to go back to our roots as this publication was the first job we undertook when emedia was started in Jan 2000.
 
 

Taking Advantage of "Free" Advertising with a Press Release

Promotions of key staff, grand openings, new services - all of these are situations where you can use more than traditional print and broadcast advertising in order to get your company noticed. A well-timed press release makes the news media work for you and do some of the advertising for you. Reporters are always looking for stories, and by using a press release you greatly increase the odds that the story they write will be about you and your company.

A press release gives the media access to information that they may not otherwise have about your company. You know that you are launching a great new service next month, but how is the public going to know this? Yes, print and radio ads can help, but getting the news to cover the launch gives your potential clients a greater depth of knowledge about what is going on than can be achieved in an ad. Also in contrast to a traditional print ad, the newspaper doesn't charge to run your story. You are helping them by providing them with news. This makes a press release an economical choice for getting your message to the public. Even more, a press release ensures that the information the press has about your company reflects what you want it to.
