Smooth Sailing for Sloop Foundation’s New Website

Bermuda Sloop Foundation website

emedia recently launched the new website for the Bermuda Sloop Foundation. As the Foundation has grown and expanded its programmes, its old, static website ceased to be functional. The new website was built with ASP.net and is database driven. The major advantage of a database- driven site is the ease with which BSF can now update it, keeping the site current with a minimum of effort.

Other features of the new website include an extensive photo gallery with a featured photo appearing on the site’s home page. BSF has also added useful new applicationsto the site; participants in their programmes can use the calendar function to view voyage dates, and parents can download necessary forms directly. The new homepage also includes a link to Bermuda Sloop Foundation’s Facebook page.

For those interested in donating their time and resources, BSF’s new site provides extensive information. One interesting component is the Immediate Needs section, which shows potential donors what specific items are needed at any given time, allowing the donor to contribute materials instead of only money.

emedia was proud to be a sponsor of this project and support the efforts being made by the Bermuda Sloop Foundation to help Bermuda’s youth.
